SMGHS Class of 1984 Holds 20th Reunion
On Labor Day weekend 2004, the Class of 1984 was 'rounded up' for a casual and comfortable reunion dinner and social at the Crazy Horse Restaurant in Hagerstown. The reunion planning committee consisted of Jim Contreras, Marisa (Japzon) Kenny, and Beth (Mahoney) Wright.

Classmates and their significant others began exchanging hugs and 'hello's' on Saturday, September 4th in the lounge area of the restaurant, and then moved to a private dining room to share a meal and many memories of fun times at Goretti. Memory Booklets were presented to all of the classmates who provided updated information on themselves. Several classmates, who were unable to attend, provided recent pictures and interesting information which was shared in the booklets as well.

A highlight of the evening included a moment of silence and a toast lead (and drinks provided by) class president, Jim Contreras, in memory of the three deceased classmates, Scott Mosby, Mike Lorden, and Laurie Campbell. The members of the Class of '84 will never forget them nor the good times they shared together.

The reunion weekend continued on Sunday, September 5th, with a Family Picnic at the Valentine hosted by Tom and Kathy. Children played games together and explored the field behind the Valentine's home, while the classmates and their families enjoyed the good food and great company. Since the meal was provided by the Valentine's, versus accepting reimbursement, the collected memorial donations to be applied to the Michael Lorden scholarship fund at Goretti.
