| There are several ways to give to St. Maria Goretti High School. Gifts are tax-deductible within the limits of the prescribed law.
Contributions made by donors may be put to immediate use by St. Maria Goretti High School. Gifts may be made as either unrestricted or restricted for a specific purpose. Unrestricted gifts are especially appreciated because they allow the school the greatest flexibility in meeting special needs or taking advantage of special opportunities.
Donors may provide perpetual support for St. Maria Goretti High School by contributing to the Goretti Endowment Fund.
Cash, electronic fund transfers, or credit card charges are the simplest, most direct method of giving. Credit card charges and electronic fund transfers may be made online at our online giving page. Donors may provide gifts of specific items of need in the school, or cash contributions for specific items of need. Typical items of need include software, desks, library collections, digital photography equipment, and printers. A list of needs is maintained in the Office for Institutional Advancement & Alumni. St. Maria Goretti High School encourages pledges. Pledges allow a donor to extend the donations over a period of 1to 5 years. Dividing your gift into installments may enable a higher level of giving than might otherwise be possible. A signed pledge form or letter of intent will ensure that your pledge is counted as part of giving program.
St. Maria Goretti High School can enable a donor to make regular monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual contributions through the establishment of automated electronic funds transfer.
Gifts of appreciated securities allow donors to deduct the current market value of the security. Gifts of stocks and bonds may be made in several ways. Please contact The Office of Institutional Advancement & Alumni for more information or instructions.
Gifts of real estate and other personal property, as approved, may be made to St. Maria Goretti High School. Gifts-in-kind which can be put to immediate use such as computers and software will be counted at fair market value and subject to IRS rules and regulations.
Corporate matching gifts count toward your contribution and may significantly increase your total gift to the school. Please check with your company's personnel office for the details of their matching gifts program to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Planned or deferred gifts allow you to make a significant gift now that will benefit the school in the future. These gifts may include bequests in wills, life insurance policies, or one of several kinds of charitable trusts and annuities. Planned gifts entitle the donor to be recognized as a member of the St. Maria Goretti Legacy Society.
In many cases, planned gifts can offer you substantial tax advantages and financial benefits such as lowered estate tax liability or increased spendable income. We welcome the opportunity to work with you and your legal or financial advisors to establish a planned gift arrangement which will benefit both you and the school.
The Scrip Program at St. Maria Goretti High School provides tuition assistance to families in need. Program participants may order gift cards for grocery stores, restaurants, retailers and gas stations. Gifts cards are purchased at a discounted amount ranging from 1.5% to 20%. The difference is credited to a family or the tuition assistance fund.
Participating Martin's grocery stores will give 1% of your grocery bill to St. Maria Goretti High School as your designated school when you register your bonus card number in the program. Please call the Office for Institutional Advancement & Alumni to register your card.
