The school offers a wide variety of liturgies throughout the year. All services are held in the neighboring St. Ann’s Church. Student participation is actively encouraged. A school mass is celebrated monthly. Every class is recognized at one of the masses throughout the year beginning with the Freshmen in September. Also, mass is available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. for students who wish to attend. Prayer services are celebrated throughout the year for special occasions. Opportunity for personal prayer is available at our Perpetual Adoration Chapel. |

St. Maria Goretti encourages all students to embrace prayer as an integral aspect of their daily lives. Each school day begins and ends with a school-wide prayer. The Angelus is said before lunch. All religion classes, assemblies, and athletic events begin with a prayer.
Recitation of the Rosary is offered at lunchtime during the months of October and May.
The Liturgy of the Hours will be prayed at lunchtime during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

Student retreats are an important part of St. Maria Goretti’s overall spiritual program. The retreats are designed to provide the students with time to examine their spirituality and to bond with their individual class. The Freshman and Sophomore retreats are composed of one day of prayer and reflection, while upperclassmen, Juniors and Seniors, have two and three day retreats respectively. Students are required to attend a class retreat for each year they are enrolled at Goretti. |

St. Maria Goretti takes seriously our commitment to educate students to be responsible citizens and active participants in the faith. To this end, each student is required to perform 25 hours of community service for each year he/she attends the school.
Many service opportunities are available through the school including a week-long Mission Trip. In June, 2006, sixteen members of the St. Maria Goretti High School student body, along with 3 faculty members traveled to Toledo, Ohio, to take part in the Catholic Heart Work Camp.

Each year, a group of students and faculty from Goretti participate in the January March for Life on Washington, D.C. This year, we have started a new club, the Respect Life Club, that will discuss and promote current issues dealing with human dignity and the respect of human life. |
