What is "Institutional Advancement"?

This is a question frequently asked by many of our Goretti parents, alumni and friends. The term "Institutional Advancement" is often presumed to be synonymous with only fund raising.

Institutional Advancement is the interrelated tasks of fundraising activities, alumni relations, communications, public relations and marketing for the school. The Office for Institutional Advancement & Alumni serves the Goretti community as a whole.

The Office for Institutional Advancement & Alumni plays a key role in "advancing" the school's image, promoting the merits of our students, and heightening awareness about Goretti and its community. Publication of the "Goretti Newsletter" and the "Honor Roll of Donors are examples of our efforts to expand awareness of St. Maria Goretti High School.

For Goretti, the Office for Institutional Advancement & Alumni is essential to its success in securing new and future resources. Annual, capital and major gift contributions fund academic program enhancements, technology, faculty and staff development, scholarships and tuition assistance, facility improvements, and building the endowment which positions the school for the future. These resources are essential to fulfilling our mission of providing superior Catholic education for our students of today and tomorrow.

To parents, alumni and friends, we invite you to become a vital part of the future of St. Maria Goretti High School!
