Mrs. Bonnie Pratt was honored at the Archdiocesan Teacher of the Year Banquet on Thursday, March 18 for being named recipient of the award for SMGHS. Not only an outstanding teacher who challenges and motivates her students to soar, but Mrs. Pratt also serves as the 'Drama Queen Extraordinaire' and is the moderator for the National Honor Society. We thank you and applaud you, Mrs. Pratt! Another honor was bestowed at the Banquet to Mrs. Ida Degraw for 25 years of dedicated service to SMGHS. Mrs. DeGraw chairs the Social Studies Department and teaches nearly every Freshman that enters the school. Congratulations and thank you Mrs. DeGraw!
Nic Martin! Congratulations to Nic who was named the Male Athlete of the Month for March. Nic excels in the classroom as well as on the fields and court, and he was a student leader on the intense spiritual Kairos Retreat earlier this month. SMGHS is proud to announce the appointment of David Blenckstone as the new Athletic Director. Mr. Blenckstone brings years of varied sports experience, beginning as a player, and including coach, teacher, assistant athletic director, and GM of the Hagerstown Suns.
